Dr Guven Witteveen is a Japan anthropologist connected with Fukui Prefecture. Along with museums and public outreach education, he works to help scholars make their own work more accessible to wider audiences online and in person. He keeps a self-introduction with links to some multi-media work online at http://bit.ly/fsp2013 and has recently written about the value of outreach in the newsletters of the Association for Asian Studies, as well as that of the American Anthropological Association at anthropology-news.org. Thanks to the Fulbright Specialist Program he looks forward to future assignments overseas to help colleagues with outreach and public engagement.
